At the end of August, All Saints Lutheran Church hosted a “Cool Carnival” for the community. This was a free event with music, food, games, and inflatable slides (the dry and the wet kind). Erin and I manned the ‘Big Slide.’ and it was a lot of fun. We did this most of the day
Then, on Labor Day we partook in the great American pastime of watching some live professional baseball! We went to see the Huntsville Stars, a AA affiliate of the Milwaukee Brewers, unfortunately they didn’t win.
That four spot in the top of the 7th was a grand slam by the visiting Jacksonville Suns.
It was a hot day,
But, we had a lot of fun though!
Last weekend, Erin and I went to the Madison County Nature Trail on top of Green Mountain (about a 7 minute drive from our apartment).
Arden led the way and had a blast!
While there we walked the entire 2.2 mile trail and happened to find a cute little chapel
We even brought Arden inside an authentic (replica) log cabin from the 18th century!
We ended the walk through a really cool, old style wooden bridge
So, as we travel around Huntsville some more, we’ll post’em as we see’em!
Until next time, Egg Beater Jesus of First Baptist Church (yes this is in Huntsville) bids you adieu! Mixing together the people of God for over 2000 years!
