11 months old

Our sweet girl is now 11 months old! I’m not sure where the last 11 months have gone, but we have so enjoyed loving on this precious baby! (How long can I call her my baby?!?! She’s getting so big!)

At 11 months old, Ashleigh…

- is crawling all over the place (and she’s actually up on her knees- no more of that scooting stuff)

- is clapping and saying “yay”

- points at everything around her

- says “kih” when she sees the kitty cat and points at him

- is pulling herself up onto objects and stands up

- loves to read books

- dances to music (so cute!!)

- likes to “talk” and “gesture” with her hands. She has a lot to say!!

- is “helping” momma and daddy pack by pulling everything out of the boxes

- is still wearing size 2 diapers but we are gradually moving her up to size 2-3 diapers

- is still wearing size 6 month clothing

- is very interactive now! She totally gets what’s going on now. It’s like a light switch just went off!

- finally cut her first tooth!!

- loves to drink breast milk and water

- loves to eat solids, Cheerios, and Gerber puffs

- is having some trouble napping during the day, but she is sleeping better at night

- gives kisses (which absolutely melt our hearts)

We just love this sweet girl!

Florida trip

For once, we actually made it down to Jacksonville in 5 hours! It seems like every time we make this trip, we get stuck in horrendous traffic. But, not this time! We had a very easy trip, but we were still very glad to arrive at Matt’s mom and stepdad’s house! Ashleigh was very excited to see them. We were able to enjoy relaxing inside the house (because it was way too hot to be outside) and eat way too much delicious food! We’re so glad Matt’s mom enjoys cooking!

Myrtle Beach trip

On July 13, we headed to the beach to spend a few days with my parents. Dad had a conference to attend, but we went down a day early to enjoy some time together. We stayed at Kingston Plantation, and had a lovely time!

Matt and I took a tour of the New South Brewery and had a wonderful time learning about how they brew and can their local beer. (The free samples weren’t too shabby, either!)
