We're going to Disney World

All the girls knew was that we were flying on an airplane and we were going to Florida to visit Grandma Sue and Grandpa Bill. And they were quite excited about that! We arrived at DTW and we were READY!!!

The girls did exceptionally well on the planes! They both loved looking out the window as we took off and landed. On our first flight, it was very cloudy outside so there wasn't much to see once we were in the air. Ashleigh entertained herself by coloring, reading books, and watching a movie on the tablet. Miriam ended up falling asleep and slept for at least an hour of the two-hour flight! Hooray! I was anxious about our layover in ATL because we originally only had a 45 minute layover. However, our flight from DTW was a bit late leaving, but our pilots were awesome and we made up time in the air! We landed, walked off the plane, walked over two gates, and got in the line to board our next flight. I mean! Couldn't have been more perfect...except we didn't have time to go to the bathroom which means Ashleigh and I had to somehow find a way to fit in the teeny tiny plane bathroom. But we did it! New experiences, I tell you. The next flight was short, so it was pretty easy keeping them entertained with stickers! We put stickers everywhere! Oh, and chocolate helped...

We finally landed in Orlando, and it was so beautiful and sunny outside!!!
The airport was gorgeous. We kept waiting for Ashleigh to ask why there was so much "Disney" stuff around! She noticed the signs and would point out the characters but she never questioned why!

We rode the monorail to the main terminal to find our resort bus. Ashleigh thought the monorail was the best! We loaded the bus and were on our way to Old Key West Resort and to meet up with Grandma and Grandpa!!

When we arrived at the resort, we met up with Grandma and Grandpa!!! Since our room wasn't ready, we walked around the hospitality area and the girls played on the playgrounds.

We checked into our villa. It was huge!! This is the view from the back porch looking into the living room/dining room/kitchen.

Our room with the two cutest little girls (who both slept all through the night!!!!) Y'all just don't know how exciting that is for me!

(And a close up just because they are snuggling so sweetly)

The master suite

The big tub was the girls' favorite place in the entire villa. Surprised much?

While we were getting unpacked, our lovely friend Katie Katz dropped by with her 2 kiddos and her parents! She is one of our best buddies from our Lutheridge camp days, so it was wonderful to see her!! They were leaving Disney that night but were able to swing by to see us! They were so thoughtful and brought the girls their very own Mickey ears with their names embroidered on the back!! So we decided that would be the perfect time to tell Ashleigh and Miriam where we were going to go! Thanks again Katie for the ears and for all the Disney info you gave us!!

The four of us went to bed before 10pm that night, and we slept soooo well! We are so ready for our Disney adventure to begin!
