Day 3: Epcot and Hollywood Studios

Good morning! Do you think these girls are ready for another awesome day at Disney??

Truth be told, we are pretty excited, too!

Day 3 was a bit cooler, so we had to wear (gasp) jackets! We started off the day by heading to Epcot.

We went to meet some more characters first...Mickey, Goofy, and Minnie!

This is when Miriam finally saw Minnie! Pure joy!

After meeting some new character friends, we went to ride the Nemo ride, and we ran into a Winthrop classmate of mine, Amy! It was so fun to catch up and visit with her, her husband, and her two girls.

Aunt Stephanie and Miriam had some girl time together while the rest of us waited an hour to ride Soarin'. It was wroth the wait, though.

We walked around the different countries until we decided to eat at the Beer garden in Germany. It was a wonderful buffet and a live oompah band. Miriam fell asleep in my arms before we even sat down.

And after lots of fussing, Ashleigh eventually fell asleep in Matt's lap, too!

After lunch, we started making our way toward Hollywood Studios. We took the boat so we were also able to see some of the other Disney resorts.

We enjoyed meeting Hiro and Baymax from Big Hero 6 and Sophia from Sophia the First.

The girls also enjoyed the Little Mermaid and the Disney Junior shows.

Matt was dying to ride Star Tours with Ashleigh, so I hung back with Miriam while the rest of the family went out into outer space.

Finally, it was off to the Frozen sing-along! We had Fast Passes for this, so we got 2nd row seats. The girls were very intrigued. Ashleigh was mezmorized throughout the entire thing. Everyone in the audience was singing along to all the Frozen songs. I have never heard so many men (daddies) sing Disney songs all at the same time!

The two "historians" who led the sing along noticed that when Ashleigh sang, she was doing the exact hand motions that Elsa does in the movie. So during "Let it Go", they stood on the side of the stage nearest us and just watched Ashleigh and smiled at her and even pointed her out to our section. At the end of the song, the man stomped his foot, pointed right at Ashleigh, and yelled, "YEAH!" Everyone in our section had turned to watch her and clap for her. She was completely oblivious and we were dying laughing. It was too cool!

We left Hollywood Studios since Fantasmic was full, so we went to Downtown Disney for a while so we could buy some souvenirs for the girls. Miriam fell asleep as we were walking around so I ended up carrying her for about 1.5 hours. My arms were exhausted once she finally woke up! Ashleigh had a great time picking out her souvenir and ended up getting a cool Rapunzel tower. Miriam "chose" a bag of Disney Jr figurines.  The huge Disney store had a "magic mirror" where the kids could try on different princess dresses. Ash thought that was the coolest thing ever!

Then it was time to head back to the resort to get another good night's sleep. (Ash and Miriam have been so worn out that they have both slept through the night since we arrived! Thank you, Lord!!)

We had such an amazing time at Disney World. There are no words to describe how we felt bringing our girls to such a magical place. A huge thank you to Grandma Sue and Grandpa Bill for providing the awesome villa and food, and Aunt Stephanie for getting us into the parks! Steph knows now that she is never allowed to leave Disney...ever!

Until next time, Disney World...
