December Shenanigans (a random post)

During Advent, we used the Truth in the Tinsel program. We really enjoyed doing that as a family. Each night, there was a small devotional to read and talk about together, and then the kiddos could make a craft or color an ornament. (We chose to color the ornaments because the crafts were still a bit too difficult for the girls). Ashleigh really got into this, and enjoyed learning about the Christmas story.

Of course their favorite part of the devotion time each night was blowing out the candles!

Ashleigh sang in the children's program. They sang Silent Night and Away in a Manger. So precious!

We went outside. In December. Christmas miracle, perhaps? It was quite gorgeous!

Funny faces at church

We also had a fun time making a gingerbread house.

We went to an event at the Fairgrounds to see a few people dressed up as characters, such as Anna and Elsa. This video just shows you how much our girls love Frozen. I'm actually not sure which girl loves them more! The characters were a bit, um, strange looking, but that didn't seem to bother the girls. They were able to see Anna, Elsa, Olaf, and Gru and the minions from Despicable Me. The funniest part of the event was that all the characters danced to Ice Ice Baby! HA!

(Video should be here, but it is not uploading. Grr)

We went to our favorite grocery store, Horrocks!

(I know this has nothing to do with the girls, but look how cheap the gas is right now! It literally went from $3.75 to $1.99 a gallon within a week's time. Unbelievable!)
