Seriously, where does the time go? No, seriously. I need an answer because our baby girl is getting too big too quickly!
At one month, Miriam…
- is awake for about half of the day. She doesn’t want to miss a thing!
-is focusing on objects and faces. She especially loves to watch her big sister zip around the living room.
-has just started smiling at us.
-sleeps well. She only wakes up to eat once or twice at night, and then she goes right back to sleep.
-is already outgrowing her newborn clothes. (sigh)
-has just moved up to size 1 diapers.
-enjoys sucking on her pacifier.
-loves to sleep on your chest.
-has found her fingers. She likes to suck on the knuckle of her index finger.
-coos and “talks” to you (when she’s in a good mood).
-is a great eater!!
-cannot stand a wet diaper.
-tries to push up on her knees when she is on her stomach (our pediatrician couldn’t get over this! She said she had never seen a newborn that was able to do this).
At Miriam’s one month appointment, she shocked us by how big she has gotten! She weighed 9 lbs 12 oz (she gained 3 lbs since the day she left the hospital. Wow!) and she was 22 inches long. {Just for reference sake, Ashleigh weighed 10 lbs at her 2month appointment!}
