We have been busy so far in July! The weather has been way too hot (100+ degrees plus high humidity). It has felt like South Carolina up here!

Fourth of July picnic and parade
All Saints Lutheran hosted a picnic at a local park. We had a great time but it was so hot outside. The temp got up to 103 while we were there! Fortunately, we were under a shelter and there was a nice breeze blowing. It was still way hot! That evening, Ashleigh and I walked in the Mason parade to help support Jeff Oesterle ( a member of our church) who is running for State Representative. Ashleigh had fun “walking” in her first parade! ( I think her favorite part was eating the blue sucker!)
Our friends Carolyn and Nathaniel passed through Michigan on their travels from Minnesota to Massachusetts. They were able to stay with us for a night. We had a lovely time catching up with our “upstairs neighbors” from seminary.
Yep, we have had lots of fun so far…. we have laughed a lot. Ashleigh has perfected her “fake laugh”… check it out!
