As soon as we began talking to Ashleigh about her upcoming 3rd birthday, she told us she wanted a “Jake and the Neverland Pirates Tea Party”. Hmmm… what? I was fine with her having a Jake party because she loves watching the cartoon, and it wasn’t too girly (since all of her friends up here are boys!). We had a fun party with a few of her closest friends (once again, all boys!). Unfortunately, the weather did not cooperate and it was cool and rainy on the day of her party, but we made it work! Ashleigh had a great time, and I hope everyone else did, too!
About 10 minutes before her party was set to begin, Ashleigh was walking on the benches of her picnic table (which she knows she’s not supposed to do!), and she fell and hit her back on the air vent below the window. She cried and cried and Matt held her to soothe her. Not two minutes later, this is what happened…
Passed out cold. (This is our child who gave up naps about a month ago.)
So Matt just put her on the couch and let her nap while her friends started arriving.
Aaron and Frankie both tried waking her up, but she didn’t even budge. So the kids had fun playing while Ashleigh slept through her party!

About 45 minutes into her party, we managed to get her up off the couch so she could start enjoying her party.
