Grandma Sue came to visit us for a week. The weather was wonderful and we were glad she was able to come. (We definitely missed Grandpa Bill, though.)
We enjoyed yummy food (including some awesome steaks that Grandma made for us! YUM!), the zoo, and lots and lots of playtime!
Ashleigh fell asleep on the way to the Flint airport to pick up Grandma.
Grandma came loaded with goodies, too! Lots of presents, toys, and clothing for the girls! Thanks Grandma!!

She got lots of cuddles from Miriam.
Ashleigh wanted to show her the playground.
We had to take her to our favorite ice cream spot.
We went swimming.
We went to the zoo.
Ashleigh and Grandma even rode the camel together!!
We also went to a Fish ‘N Chips Festival at the local Catholic church.

And here is the main reason we went to the festival…
The hot air balloons!! 16 of them!!
Last year, they landed across the street from our house, and we were really hoping the winds would bring them that way, again.
They didn’t disappoint. Here they come, over the tree line! (This was taken from our back yard)
Whoa, a couple of the balloons got way too close to the corn!

Ashleigh made a bed for her new friend from Florida. His name is Mingo!

We also had a very big tea party in the living room!
I think Grandma was trying to smuggle home a souvenir…
Thanks so much for coming, Grandma Sue! We had a blast, and can’t wait to see you again!
aWWW I have tears in my eyes reading this. It WAS an Awesome visit....Yes I confess i did try to smuggle out some cute girls...but oh well Daddy caught me in the act....I like that Ashleigh kept saying "that is my sister Miriam, you can't take her"... Miss all of you so much. Love Grandma Sue
