How is it possible that Ashleigh Rose has been with us for almost a whole month?? What a joy she has been…
I figured I would post my labor story for all those who are interested to know how Ashleigh came into this world.
My water broke at 1am on Sat, Sept. 18. After calling my doctor, we were told to head on over to the hospital. We got all checked in and settled in the labor and delivery room. No labor signs were present, so Matt slept and I read and played on the internet. The doctor started giving me Pitocin around 10am. From 10am-5pm, I had painful contractions that were 1-2 minutes apart. I got my epidural around 5:30 (Thank the Lord for modern medicine) and was instantly more comfortable. I began pushing around 7:40pm, and Ashleigh Rose was born at 7:58pm!
We were instantly in love!
She has been a wonderful baby! We love every face that she makes and every sound she makes, even her cries! (Okay, the screaming at night does make it a little rough, but she’s worth it!)
Our first family picture!
She’s a daddy’s girl already!
Heading home
Arden meeting Ashleigh for the first time
Playing with daddy
Not loving her first bath
My favorite picture- soaking up some vitamin D
She loves her swing.
snuggle time with daddy
First time going to church (2 weeks old)

so kissable!
Ready for the cookout (wait, Hobbes wants to come, too!)
Bath time is becoming a bit more tolerable.
