Preschool Finale 2015

Ashleigh has had such a wonderful year of preschool!  She loved her teachers and loved most of her classmates. She woke up excited to go to school every morning, and was actually disappointed on those mornings when she didn't have school.

Here is Ashleigh on the first day of school (September 18, 2014).

And here she is receiving her certificate at the end of the year festivities.

On the morning of her last day at preschool, the whole class walked down to the large playground a couple of blocks away from the school. Several parents and siblings (including Matt, Miriam, and myself) joined the students and walked with them to the playground. The kids had so much fun, and it was neat to see how all the kids interacted with each other. But by golly, it was chilly! Come on, Michigan! It's late May! It should be warmer than the low 50s!

Later that day, we returned to her school and had a celebration. The kids sang a song and then they were each presented with a certificate and a board game! 

Then, we had an ice cream party outside and the kids got to play on the "big kids" playground behind the school. (There are several playground areas, and our little kids have never been allowed to play on the largest playground set. But tonight they were allowed to play on it, and they were so excited!)

I can't believe our sweet girl is done with a whole year of preschool! She has grown up so much and we are so proud of her!
