Ashleigh is growing up so quickly! She is approaching such a fun stage of life. Her personality is really shining through. She is always smiling and laughing, and most of the time she is very content to play with momma, daddy, and her toys…
…but as you’ll see, EVERYHING goes in the mouth right now!
What?!?!
At 5 months, Ashleigh….
-wears size 1-2 diapers
-is still wearing mostly size 3 month clothing, but she’s starting to fit into some 3-6 month outfits
-laughs more often
-smiles all the time and crinkles up her nose
-reaches for you to pick her up (this makes my heart melt!)
-loves to play with her elephant toy and her ball
-likes to sit in her Bumbo chair
-is recognizing Arden and Hobbes and reaches out to pet them when they walk near her
-loves to stand up
-loves “naked time”
-sucks on her bottom lip
-is starting to make the raspberry sounds with her lips
-“talks” a lot, especially in the morning and at night
-very interested in grabbing anything near her (which makes holding the hymnal or bulletin at church quite challenging)
-helps momma and daddy change her diaper by holding her legs up
-enjoys wearing her sunglasses when we go on walks
-likes playing in her exersaucer and her jumper
-looks at you when you call her name
Ashleigh also just started eating rice cereal! So far, so good! She seems to enjoy eating with a spoon, even though she spits half of it out!
Oh, how we love this little girl.
